What is NAREDCO?

The National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) laid out the self-administrative body in 1998 under the aegis of the Housing and Urban Affairs Government of India. National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) was laid out as an independent self-regulatory body in 1998 under the aegis of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India.

In that year only, the Government of India redrafted the National Housing and Habitat Policy, giving due significance to the Housing and Real Estate area, consequently announcing housing for all residents by 2010. The Indian housing and real estate sector and the associated businesses hailed the foundation of NAREDCO, as the peak public body for the real estate business and imagined it as a solitary stage where Government, industry, and the public would talk about different issues and potentially open doors which would bring about a quick resolution of issues.

It was framed in the order to incite transparency and ethics in the real estate business and change the unorganized Indian real estate area into a developed and worldwide competitive business area.

Aims and Objectives

NAREDCO works as Development and Promotion Council for housing and real estate area in India.

Its fundamental goals are:

I To advance excellence and high standards of operations in light of just and equitable standards in exchanges connecting with different activities of real estate business including building, development, and marketing.

II To advance standards of the real estate and construction industry and its different allied activities and form a Code of Ethics for recognition by all developers of real estate, manufacturers, and marketing administrators and to advance an appropriate ombudsman component for examining departures therefrom.

III Rating of engineers, developers, and their projects through CRISIL/ICRA upheld by NAREDCO-NHB rating method.

IV Establishment of data and information bank, which will collect and circulate the data on all matters associated with the real estate area.

V To set up a National Institute of Real Estate Development (NIRED) as a core for studies, research, training, and certification.

VI To advance, support, work with and help the foundation of state groups of NAREDCO in different pieces of the nation, REDCOs.

VII Promotion and support of co-operation among all ventures managing and occupied with different parts of real estate advancement.

VIII Participation in the plan of national policies and plan for real estate improvement and financial reforms.

IX To manage gatherings, symposia, workshops, conferences, and seminars on issues connecting with real estate, building development, and unified exercises.

X To distinguish and reinforce industry’s part in the economic advancement of the country.

XI To go about as an impetus in achieving the development and improvement of the Indian Real Estate Industry.

XII To make awareness and back the industry’s endeavors on quality, climate, and consumer security.

XIII To advance collaboration with partner associations.

The National Real Estate Development Council endeavors to be the aggregate force impacting and molding the real estate business. It tries to be the main supporter of developing principles for proficient, compelling, and ethical real estate strategic policies, esteemed by all stakeholders of real estate and viewed by them as significant to their success.
